Dr. Kristen Zeller is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who retired from the Navy in 2010. She is a graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) on the campus of what is now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She trained at the San Diego Naval Medical Center, and subsequently held Staff and Department Head positions at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center and Guam Naval Hospital. In 2005 she was transferred to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. During her tenure there, she became an Assistant Professor at USUHS, and directed the Ophthalmology Clerkship for Medical Students. In addition, she was active in Graduate Medical Education, and taught Ophthalmology Residents.
Dr. Zeller’s current surgical area of focus is cataract surgery, including laser assisted cataract surgery. She is also experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of ocular conditions, including diabetic eye disease and glaucoma.
